Startup Galway is “an emerging initiative to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Galway”, led by local entrepreneurs and technologists. Galway’s unique combination of education & research institutions, technology industry, heritage, creativity and amenities in a ‘small city’ should make it a fertile ground for startups, they say, and they believe it can be ‘Ireland’s Bay Area’.
Their first event is on tomorrow night, 19 December at 8pm in McSwiggans. Pat Phelan of Trustev will be the guest speaker; it’s a great opportunity to hear first hand from the CEO of the company recently named by Forbes as one of the seven Hottest Global Startups 2013.

Technology.ie is brought to you by Blacknight, Ireland’s largest provider of domains and hosting. Blacknight is sponsoring the SUXmas Christmas party for startups!
