Irish ISP Magnet has managed to retain its number 1 position on Netflix’s ISP index for the 4th successive month.

UPC dropped 3 place this month, with Digiweb, Eircom and Vodafone rising up the table.

    I suspect there’s more to this than meets the eye…I also suspect it’s more to do with peering arrangements more than “average speed” as reported by Netflix?

      Quite possibly, though Netflix is rating how their users experience connections, so it’s as good a barometer as any.

        well afaik all the others peer directly with Netflix except UPC who peers somewhere “out there” meaning their apparent speeds to Netflix are crap.
        But point taken from a users perspective it isn’t good at all and UPC should fix it by peering locally.
