The latest Ipsos MRBI social media survey results were released earlier today.
Facebook continues to reign with 60% of Irish people having an account. 72% of them use Facebook every single day, while only 37% of Twitter users are active on a daily basis.
Dating app Tinder is apparently being used by 5% of Irish users.
46% of Irish Instagram users use it daily, though whether that’s simply to look at their friends photos or those of celebrities isn’t clear.
The Ipsos MRBI Twitter account has been tweeting out some of the numbers today, as well as fielding queries.
They’ve also done some interesting analysis of “social messaging” usage.
61% of Snapchat users use Snapchat daily compared to Facebook Messenger 52%, WhatsApp 51%, Viber 29%. pic.twitter.com/c29aXt4Kzo
