Some of the biggest names in Irish online retail are set to address Ireland’s first Ecommerce Expo.
The Expo, in association with Willows Consulting, is to be held in the Crowne Plaza, Santry on Wednesday, October 7. The line-up of speakers include Mick’s Garage, Schoolbooks.ie, Buy4Now, DPD, Eurobase, Taxback and Realex Payments.
The event is aimed at both existing and new ecommerce operators and takes the format of a seminar with 14 speakers across the day.
Speakers will cover a variety of topics including SEO for ecommerce, Enterprise Ecommerce and what it entails, fraud and security data protection, fulfilment services, shipping and warehousing, EU VAT liability and payment systems.
Attendees will also learn how to enter and handle international markets and how to choose the right ecommerce platform for your ecommerce your business.
Online spend in Ireland is increasing by 15% per annum. The current online spend in Ireland is circa €15.4 billion with 59% of adults shopping online at least once a month. The average spend per transaction is €104.
However the organisers claim that this opportunity to expand into the online market is being overlooked by Irish businesses. In particular, 80% of B2B businesses do not accepting online orders or payments.
The Ecommerce Expo will run from 8.30am until 4.30pm with breakfast and lunch included. There will also be the chance to avail of free one-on-one consultations with the speakers and exhibitors.
Tickets are available online, with an early bird offer until September 23rd.
