Tapastreet is a brand new startup.  Fresh from the Facebook hackathon on Wednesday, they came to TBEX knowing that travel bloggers would be excited to see their product.

The thing about social media is that it wants to be discovered.  We tag our content – hashtags, user tags, pingbacks – because we want to make conversation.  “Look I’m talking about you/this/that/there”.

Tourists, says Tapastreet’s Cathal O’Brien, are interested in geotagged content because it shows them the authentic, eyewitness view of the place they are visiting.  The content is out there, from Flickr, Instagram and other services.  Tapastreet will help you discover it.
