Apple’s iPad might solve several issues for airlines and their customers.
The iPad is being used by several airlines to provide inflight entertainment services. While providing hundreds of iPads is obviously not cheap, they weigh considerably less than the current inflight entertainment systems, so they could save airlines on fuel costs
Qantas’ fleet of 767s will be using the new iPad system which relies on streaming technology.
