NUI Galway have come up with an inspired use of social media in their efforts to promote the college to new undergraduates, and they’ve recruited hundreds of ambassadors to help in the task: their own students.

The result is a high resolution, taggable, zoomable and panable, gigapixel photograph taken in the historic quad of the college.

Visitors to choose.nuigalway.ie have the option to tag themselves or their friends, and include their Facebook details if they want to broaden their social circle!  And the site includes video testimonials from current students, all aimed at spreading the message: I chose NUI Galway!
