Ulster Bank’s technical disaster, which left thousands of Irish customers without access to their money, will cost the bank at least 35 million Euro in compensation.
Scarily the bank’s parent, RBS, is still not stating that the issue has been fully rectified:
The bank’s parent, Royal Bank of Scotland, said the computer error, which stopped hundreds of thousands of Ulster Bank’s 1.9 million customers accessing their funds, had been “largely rectified” (source: Irish Times)
So how many of the Ulster Bank customers are likely to switch banks as a result of this?
