AppleTV with Hulu Plus
While this is not going to be officially available to Irish Apple TV users anytime soon, it’s still interesting news.
Hulu Plus is now available to 2nd generation (black) Apple TV users with iTunes US accounts.
The extra icon “magically” appeared in an update in the last couple of days.
What’s interesting is that you can signup for the service directly from your iTunes account AND pay for the subscription using your iTunes account ie. you do not need to provide credit card information to the vendor.
Apple had spoken of launching several services that would be “in app” several months ago, but this is, to the best of my knowledge, the first one to “go live”.
Hulu Plus offers a subscription service which is similar in many respects to the one provided Netflix.
