Storyful, the social news agency founded by former RTE anchor Mark Little, has been bought by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp for €25m.
Founded in 2008, Storyful’s team of journalists work to find and verify user generated content of interest to media organisations, and help the owners of the content to monetise it. As the business has grown over the years, many well known figures from Irish media and tech have joined the team.
In a blog post, Mark Little confirmed that the company “will continue to operate as a stand-alone organisation” from its headquarters in Dublin.
