Today Raspberry Pi announced that their “Model B” unit comes with 512MB of ram instead of the 256MB it came with previously. In their announcement they said that anyone waiting on a model B should get the 512MB model starting today October 15th. There will also be a firmware update within the coming weeks that will allow access to the extra ram.
