New Device Could Allow People to Hear with their Tongues [Video]

Researchers at Colorado State University are working on an alternative to cochlear implants by sending electrical signals to another sensitive organ: the tongue.

Cochlear implants require surgery, but using the tongue to hear could be as simple as popping a dental retainer in your mouth.
