Startup Weekends are in full swing right now in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. Here’s a video we shot last week at Galway Startup Weekend!

Paul Killoran of Ex Ordo is co-organiser of Galway Startup Weekend. He explains that it’s less about launching a company in one weekend, more about a long term investment in startup culture:
This is about founder education … the reason that we do this is to facilitate the ecosystem that exists here in Galway, and I do believe, by doing things like this. that we will see an increase in the numbers applying to Enterprise Ireland’s No Frontiers, and the Competitive Startup Fund, a year from now.
Gene Murphy of Startup Weekend Dublin would agree: listen to our podcast with him from earlier this week.
Best of luck to everyone participating in Startup Weekends!
